The other two regions that were ceded by Spain to United States were
1) The Philippines
2) Guam

Guam continues being an unincorporated US territory while the Philippines achieved Independence from the US in 1946. For some time the Independence day of the Philippines was 4th July - chosen to copy the American one.

The Spanish American War gave the U.S. control of Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and Guam. While the U.S. held power over Cuba, it was technically an independent country.
