16^(x+2) = 1/4
(4^2)^(x+2) = 1/4
4^(2x+4) = 1/4
4 * 4^(2x+4) = 1
4^(1+2x+4) = 1
4^(2x+5) = 1
4^(2x+5) = 4^0
2x+5 = 0
2x = -5
x = -5/2
x = -2.5
