I believe the answer is: They have low validity and reliability.
In projective test, We collect the data by exposing the subject with ambigous stimuli in order to obtain the a certain psychological response. After that, the psychologist would analyze the data and interpret the response.
Since the interpretation is extremely subjective the data would has low vailidity and reliability.
