Desperate Rook's Gambit XP

When you use Rook’s Gambit to sub one action for another, and the action is desperate, which one counts for marking XP? For example, if I sub Sway (Resolve) to make a desperate Prowl (Prowess) action, do I mark XP under Resolve or Prowess?

I haven’t used this ability myself yet, but to me it seems to be a clear choice: you mark an XP for the action that you actually perform, in this case Prowl (Prowess). That would be in keeping with the story’s logic.

I agree with @Elvatuar. I had to make this decision on the fly recently, and it made sense - you’re getting xp in the action you’re actually rolling.

Sounds good to me. Thank you both!
