Amazing military fantasy Book Series by Brian McClellan. Two great trilogies.
I recommend checking it out.
Combining Powder Magic with Blackshot would be a real gamechanger for the Legion.

ASIDE—I’m on the last book of the series now. It is SO GOOD.

Also check out the additional short stories. They add a lot of background and depth to the characters and the world. I am not sure if these are available in print but I read all of them on my kindle.
