This sounds like a great idea. I have a copy of the map as my Roll20 playing surface, but having little bits of info about each planet/locale would be neat.
Are you making additions to the published map or are you making your own version of the map? If it’s the latter, the only thing I can suggest is adding some of the locales in the “Notable Places” section at the beginning of the system sections.
