Trips Out Of Duskwall

I’m involved in a Smugglers campaign where we have a multi part story arc revolving around a journey to Tycheros to secure supplies of a mysterious mineral. The GM has plenty of work to do creating a new setting, new factions etc and we’ve already run into some interesting ways in which the fiction is impacting game mechanics - for example, the crew have to make new contacts and can’t use their normal vice purveyors till they get back. I’m interested to hear whether and how others have ventured outside Duskwall for their campaigns and if there are any words of wisdom to be passed on!
